EXCLUSIVE: Chris Pratt is in talk to reprise his role of Star-Lord in Sony and Marvel’s next installment of the Spider-Man franchise. The studios are yet to comment.

Sources tell PopFilm that Pratt is anticipated to sign on for the film as part of a new contract, which is also expected to include the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday. His potential role in Spider-Man 4 remains under wraps. Their two characters had previously interacted in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The untitled Spider-Man movie is set to bow on July 24, 2026, featuring Tom Holland as the webslinger and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Zendaya is yet to finalise a deal, and Amy Pascal and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige return as producers.

Chris Pratt, who last reprised his role as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, was last seen on Earth with his grandfather. Next up, Pratt will star in The Electric State, directed by the Russo brothers, alongside Millie Bobby Brown.

He continues to be represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA).
